Pada 29 April lalu, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) mengumumkan lima pemohon berjaya mendapatkan lesen bank digital yang diluluskan oleh Menteri Kewangan Malaysia.
A. Pemohon-pemohon yang berikut akan dilesenkan di bawah Akta Perkhidmatan Kewangan 2013 (APK):
1. Konsortium Boost Holdings Sdn. Bhd. dan RHB Bank Berhad;
2. Konsortium yang diterajui oleh GXS Bank Pte. Ltd. dan Kuok Brothers Sdn. Bhd; dan
3. Konsortium yang diterajui oleh Sea Limited dan YTL Digital Capital Sdn Bhd;
B. Pemohon-pemohon yang berikut akan dilesenkan di bawah Akta Perkhidmatan Kewangan Islam 2013 (APKI):
1. Konsortium AEON Financial Service Co., Ltd., AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad dan MoneyLion Inc,; dan
2. Konsortium yang diterajui oleh KAF Investment Bank Sdn. Bhd.
Tiga daripada lima konsortium ini dimiliki secara majoriti oleh warga Malaysia iaitu Boost Holdings dan RHB Bank Berhad, Sea Limited dan YTL Digital Capital Sdn. Bhd. dan KAF Investment Sdn. Bhd.
